Barbers Hill Elementary North Travels to the Capital!
On Friday, January 30, 2026, Barbers Hill Elementary North was proudly represented in Austin as Principal Jackie Brown, Assistant Principal Brittany Saults, and Assistant Principal Stacey Paine joined Board of Trustees President Mark Wilson and Curriculum and Instruction Director Chloe Yowell to receive the prestigious Lone Star Award.
The Lone Star Ribbon Schools program recognizes Texas public schools for exceptional academic achievement and significant progress in closing student achievement gaps. Established by Governor Greg Abbott in 2025, the program transitioned from the federal National Blue Ribbon Schools initiative when it moved to state leadership in August 2025.
